Session Musician / Artist / Tour Manager / Songwriter
With riveting guitar skills and soulful vocals, Mike Lloyd is the kind of artist that will draw you in from the first note. Hailing from a small coastal town on Cape Breton Island, Mike’s musical journey is rooted in the rugged beauty of his hometown.
Starting his musical career at just 10 years old, Mike quickly developed a passion for guitar, and by the age of 14, he was performing in multiple professional bands around Cape Breton Island, covering Celtic, country, and rock genres. Today, he serves as the lead guitarist and musical director for The Right Good and Nashville-based artist, Ben Chase. A two-time CCMA “Guitar Player of the Year” second-ballot nominee, Mike’s reputation for skill and passion continues to grow as he has worked with notable artists like Riley Taylor, Ria Mae, Makayla Lynn, JoJo Mason, and Aaron Pritchett.
With over 500 songs in his repertoire and more than 3,000 shows under his belt, Mike’s stage presence is nothing short of magnetic. His performances, whether for intimate crowds or festival audiences of 20,000+, are infused with energy, confidence, and a deep connection to his craft. Mike’s ability to seamlessly blend genres—ranging from the golden eras of 50s and 60s country to 80s rock, pop, and contemporary hits—makes him a versatile performer who leaves his mark wherever he plays. He also honors his Cape Breton roots by incorporating traditional folk elements into his music.
An entertainer at his core, Mike Lloyd’s stage presence keeps audiences hooked, consistently leaving them eager for what's next. His ability to mix soulful solos, heartfelt serenades, and foot-stomping anthems makes him the perfect fit for any performance. Whether it’s a small gathering or a massive festival stage, Mike delivers every note with passion and charm.
